Pay-By-The-Hour?
What a concept!
On
June 1, Phoenix Aviation announced a marketing partnership with MyFBO.com for our
Pay-By-The-Hour Insurance Plan. As you can imagine, it produced a lot of interest
and no shortage of questions. We have held two webinars for many of our agents to
get them acquainted with MyFBO.com and how it integrates with Phoenix Aviation.
For those of you who missed these informative sessions we have scheduled additional
webinars. Please drop me a line if you want to attend one. If you
would like more information about what MyFBO.com can do for your customer click here.
The
program has been well received as we have started the month with several accounts
and there are more in line to enroll in the program. So far, the average fleet size
is 10 aircraft but some larger fleets are due to start in the next few months which
will push the average upward.
We were reminded by some of our more mature agents that this has been tried before
and failed. But I had to remind them that this was before the widespread use of
computers and the internet when every hour was counted manually and record keeping
was cumbersome. I suggest to you that we are taking a giant step forward in
the way we deal with our commercial customers. After all, for many of us, they are
our livelyhood. Our friends at MyFBO.com have made this easy and affordable
by automatically importing aircraft flying hours directly into the monthly
insurance report that is available both to the agent and the underwriter at the
end of the month. It reduces every ones workload and their product does so
much more. Of course, the best feature of the Pay-By-The-Hour plan is that the insurance
premium is directly proportional to the hours flown. The less you fly, the less
you pay and the more you fly, well, you won't pay more than your annual premium!
Please contact Roger Ridings or Thomas Hollinger for additional information or requests
for product brochures.
Phoenix Goes
Paperless
Have
you noticed anything different? On July 1, we changed the way we transact
business. All underwriting and claims files are now processed in a paperless environment.
We are excited about the positive effects this will have in doing business with
you.
Your underwriter or claims representative will be able to access your file
and any request or correspondence immediately and from any location with an internet
connection. As the learning curve levels off, you should experience an even greater
level of service with the efficiency this brings to our company.
You will also be
glad to know that this will save hundreds of trees and make us environmentally friendly.
We prefer and encourage all underwriting and claims correspondence to be in an electronic
format (emails, PDF, Microsoft word or excel attachments and faxes). The
central mail boxes for our branch offices have not changed and are as follows:
Seattle
BQSEA@pamav.com
Dallas
BQDAL@pamav.com
Atlanta BQATL@pamav.com
However, if that method is unavailable, we ask that you send all correspondence
to our primary processing center:
Phoenix Aviation Managers
P.O. Box 440757
Kennesaw, GA 30160
The correspondence will be scanned to create a digital copy which will be available
to the recipient 24/7.
To assist us in achieving error-free processing, please always reference a policy number,
name of policyholder or claim number to identify the correct file.

Got Flying Clubs?
Are
you sending Phoenix Aviation Managers your Flying Club submissions? Generally, a
Flying Club is most any non-commercial aircraft risk where there are more than 3 known pilots to be regularly flying an airplane. In response to the current economic
climate, Phoenix is once again in the market for Flying Clubs. It is our way of
showing our commitment and support to our customers by helping pilot's manage the
cost of flying time and to the general aviation community. To date, we've had a
favorable number of submissions. Overall, the program has been successful and Phoenix
is considering a wider variety of flying clubs from single aircraft to commercial
flying clubs with multiple aircraft and pilots. Remember, flying clubs are good
candidates for the Pay-By-The-Hour plan!Contact your underwriter to discuss your
Flying Club business. We look forward to our next binder with you.
